2 weeks and two 2 days

We have officaly two weeks left before company starts back for the spring season!
Apprentices will start back a week before us so i'll probably go back just for class and to start setting some of the piece im choreographing for the spring!! My friend Kris (ballet master/fellow company memeber) got the O.K. from my director to choreograph a piece that we have been talking about. I am so thrilled to be given this opportunity. Choreography has always been a dream of mine and this will really open that door for me. My career as a dancer won't last forever, but being a choreoographer allows that artistic input and creativity to live on. I feel a wonderful end of the season approaching.

So while there might be two weeks to get my butt back into semi-shape, there are also two days left till i leave for Disney!!!!!!!! I am more than excited. Getting time to spend acting like an 8yr old is just what i need before getting back into the swing of my very busy days. I think it's important that we all take these little breaks to refresh you mind and body and to remind you that life is what you makes it. You can't always work without having some sort of fun time to look forward to.

I've been taking two classes a week with a few other company members and stretching/conditioning on my own. I'm going to do some extra workouts today and tommorow since i know in Disney it will be mickey shaped waffels and riding Dumbo. (both of which i'm totally cool with) I'm also pretty excited to see tinkerbell. ;) Maybe i'll take her part and fly across the castle.

My best to you all...plan a mini get-a-way for yourself. Even a few days can do wonders!

Aaah! Disney. I don't think the wonder ever leaves you (even when you're grown up - perhaps it's a bit like santa!)

Enjoy your break. Great advice to get away for a few days. I am being whisked away to Norfolk for a few days after my birthday and I can't wait! xxx
